Code of Conduct

It is pertinent that all the students and their parents that, per CBSE guidelines, students will be evaluated for discipline based on the following criteria: Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviour, Values, Neatness, Compliance with School Rules and Regulations, and Attitude toward Society and the Country.

Therefore, kindly ensure that all the guidelines listed below are strictly followed.

(i) We emphasise elementary qualities like politeness, discipline etc. and encourage our students to imbibe the same in their daily activities. They should greet all the teachers whenever and wherever they meet them. Bullying classmates, using foul language and indecent behaviour inside and outside the school premises would lead to strict disciplinary action.

(ii) They should take good care of their health and remain physically fit and strong.

(iii) They should never be cruel and should know that cruelty is the trait of a bully, while kindness is the mark of a gentleman/lady. The practice of bullying is strictly prohibited inside the school premises, and no such act will go unnoticed or unpunished. Depending on the gravity of the misconduct, necessary action is to be taken as per CBSE guidelines.

(iv) They should always accept and complete the assignments given to them by the teachers in time.

(v) They should face difficulties courageously and confidently.

(vi) They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and sisters; in school to teachers, companions and any visitor whom they happen to meet on the school premises.

(vii) They should never adopt unfair practices like stealing or borrowing others' belonging without taking permission. They should be truthful.

(viii) They should respect the aesthetics of the classroom and the school premises and report any damage caused to the teachers.

(ix) They should never hesitate to say 'NO' when asked or tempted to do something thing, which they know is wrong as per the situation.

(x) They should respect the liberty and rights of others.

(xi) They should keep their classrooms clean and take care of the school furniture.

(xii) Instead of lamenting and grumbling over the evils of the world, they should try to contribute to making the world a better place to live in.

(xiii) Regardless of caste, colour, or creed, they should view people from all around the world and from all walks of life as their brothers and sisters.

(xiv) They should not waste their time on idle gossip.

(xv) They should take pride in wearing their School Uniform. They should not wear the school uniform in any public place outside of School without permission.

(xvi) No shouting or whistling is allowed in or around the school building. Running in corridors is

strictly prohibited. (xvii) Anything that could cause physical harm to someone within a classroom, in a hallway,

inside or outside of the school premises is strictly prohibited by the school management. (xviii) The hair needs to be trimmed frequently. It cannot touch the collar or cover the forehead for boys. Girls must plait their hair neatly.

(xix) The student must wear a Pull over/Blazer during winter as a part of the school uniform. Students must always come to school in school uniform for every occasion. (PTM/ celebrations/any other day).

(xx) The student must carry the School Identity Card and the Almanac while coming to School. (xx) The students should not litter their classroom and the other areas of the school premises. (xoxil) They should be proud of their Alma Mater.

(xxiii) Students must take written permission to carry a camera to photograph the school activity in or outside school. They are not allowed to upload any such photograph (On social media). Any student indulging in such activity on social media will face disciplinary action

EIS Discipline Policy

School will see that the following principles of discipline are observed:

(1) Regularity and implicit obedience in the school.

(2) Politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct as well as cleanliness of dress and person are inculcated.

(3) Pupils are made to realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for the general behavior outside.

(4) Disrespect towards school policies/instructions/circulars will not be tolerated.

(5) Students will not be allowed to enter the school premises without ID card, badge and appropriate school uniform.

(6) Parents are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the Management and that the Management has a right to say on what conditions it will admit or retain pupils in the school or cancel the admission.

(7) Any pupil who is persistently insubordinate or is repeatedly or willfully mischievous or is guilty of malpractice in connection with examinations or has committed an act of serious indiscipline and/or misbehaviour, or who in the opinion of the Principal of the school has an unwholesome influence on fellow pupils or whose guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards may be removed from the rolls. The removal may be temporary or permanent, according to the gravity of the offence. Such incident and behaviour will be evaluated and controlled by EIS Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC).

(8) Cleanliness/hygiene must be maintained. It is important to us at school that the child is safe from possible illnesses and diseases.

(9) Pupils are expected to be punctual. Latecomers are liable to be sent home at the Parent's own risk.

(10) No pupil who has been absent from school or late will be admitted to the class without the Principal's/Vice Principal's signature.

(11) At the first bell the pupils will enter their respective classes. At the second bell, they will stand up in silence for the school assembly prayer.

(12) Pupils are expected to come to school provided with all that is necessary for their day's work. Borrowing or lending of pens, pencils, rubbers, rulers, instrument boxes etc. is discouraged.

(13) Personal cleanliness and hygiene are greatly recommended to all. The students should be particularly careful not to throw any papers, seeds, etc, anywhere in the school premises. They should use the baskets and bins especially provided for this purpose.

(14) During the absence of the teacher, each Class Monitor is responsible for the order and discipline of the class.

(15) Pupils from one class should not visit their friends in any other class and/or loiter around during their recess or other timings.

(16) Students must speak strictly in English only in the school premises, school bus and even during any school functions conducted outside the school premises.

(17) Silence must be observed in the corridors and on the stairs during class hours. There should be NO TALKING at the change of periods.

(18) Silence must be observed outside the Principal's office and other Administrative offices in

the school building.

(19) Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is never allowed.

(20) No student will be permitted to wear any other clothes except the prescribed complete

school uniform. This is to maintain standardization amongst all students.

(21) No Physical violence of any sort will be tolerated and any such complaint will be addressed

very strictly

(22) Students are strictly not allowed to use school name or logo for creating social networking groups or inviting fellow students to join such groups.

(23) Any sort of manipulation/malpractice during an examination will disqualify the student from promotion to the next grade.

(24) Students must not play in the classrooms during break times or between lectures. Any damage to school property needs to be compensated immediately and will invite strict disciplinary action against the student.

(25) Students are strictly prohibited from throwing things at each other like ID cards, badges, bottles, shoes etc. which may cause injuries to each other. Any such instance reported will invite suspension of the student involved for a period of not less than seven days.
